“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.”

Small Groups, Amazing Memories

Our trips have a maximum of 8 - 12 customers and one or two leaders depending on the trip, enabling us to provide you with more individualized attention and care. We are proud to offer one of the best leader to customer ratios and some of the smallest group sizes in the industry—just one example of our attention to detail and commitment to quality. We are intentional with our trip design, from the places we stay to the order of the activities, and of course with our group sizes. Smaller groups create a more intimate experience- you will feel like you're traveling with a group of close friends and will stay in unique family-run lodgings such as chateaux, villas, and mountain chalets that cannot accommodate larger groups.

Carpe Mundo

Carpe Mundo means "Seize the World" and is more than just our name, it is our philosophy and inspiration behind every trip. Carpe diem (seize the day) is a popular saying and we love how people use it to embrace the idea of living life to its fullest. But why stop there? Don’t just seize the day, Seize the World! Our trips are designed to enable you to live life to the fullest by combining exciting activities with local cultural experiences, facilitated by passionate leaders.

Some tour companies advertise trips that they subcontract out to another company or just copy the trips offered by others. We create our own unique itineraries in order to do what we do best—provide you with the trip of a lifetime. Designing and leading trips is not just our job, it is our passion, and after a trip with us you will see why our trips are the best! Learn more about the dedicated team behind Carpe Mundo.

Not your typical tour.

Our trips are not like your typical tour. We know different people have various interests while traveling, therefore our trips are planned to provide an appropriate balance between time spent together with the group and free time for you to spend as you please.  In addition to the group activities and itinerary, there are opportunities for you to go on your own to visit museums, partake in additional adventure activities, or just sit back and relax! Several of our tours incorporate “rest days” where you can choose from a variety of optional activities- our leaders will help you choose what is best for you depending on your preferences. Having smaller groups allows us to stay at quaint B&Bs and character hotels/inns with local charm that would not be able to accommodate larger groups.

Additionally, many of our European trips are planned sequentially, allowing you to build your own Euro trip! Go on one trip or combine several to get a longer and more varied tour. Combining multiple trips is a great way to see even more of Europe and enhance your travel experience. We can arrange transportation and accommodations between locations, making for a seamless transfer between tours.
